Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir of first quality

"In the beginning there were good grapes": in the most northern growing area of South Tyrol thrive at a selected altitude the main grapes for the production of sparkling wine, namely Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. These particular grapes need a warm climate and sun for a perfect ripeness, but suffer from humid nights. The climate and its marked temperature fluctuation during the ripening period in summer and autumn at an altitude of 1,000 m a.s.l. is particularly suited for the grapes.

It’s well known that the region next to the Adige and Isarco rivers is one of the leading regions and also best of Italy in the production of these classic wines. Therefore winemakers in South Tyrol work with the juice of grapes with a good sugar level, full and fruity aroma, distinct acidity and a particular alpine flavour.
